I’ve been busy experimenting with Google’s NotebookLM AI tool, and I’m blown away by it! This little marvel lets you share links to sources—documents, audio, videos—and, with just a click, transforms them into a podcast, summarising up to 50 sources in one go. Incredible.
The potential here is massive: onboarding, L&D, knowledge management, content creation—you name it. Sure, it’s not flawless—there are occasional glitches—but with careful curation, this is proving to be one of the most helpful and impressive AI tools I’ve used so far. And did I mention it’s free? 🤯
🎧 The NWOW Playbook Podcast
Here’s a taste of what NotebookLM can do: Episode 1 of The New Ways of Working Playbook Podcast:
The Playbook itself contains over 20 articles, podcasts, and videos on meetings. With NotebookLM, I created a podcast summarising their wisdom. And honestly? I think it’s pretty great!
There’s no way I could have made something this polished on my own, at no cost, and in just a few minutes. It’s such a brilliant companion to the Playbook that I’m planning to create podcasts for the rest of the patterns. I hope you’ll find them useful!
💡 What Will You Make?
Could this tool upgrade how you and your team approach knowledge sharing, onboarding, meeting notes, or content creation? Why not give it a try? Upload a few of your favourite documents or resources, hit “generate,” and let NotebookLM do the rest.
Once you’ve experimented, I’d love to hear your thoughts and creations. Please do share them or let me know what you think of the tool and my ‘podcast’.
🙏 If you found this helpful, please help me by sharing it with your colleagues.
And remember to use the New Ways of Working Playbook to help you and your team explore the patterns found in progressive organisations.
